• Basilian Father Thomas Rosica, head of Canada’s Salt + Light Catholic TV network, credits Cardinal Foley’s work in Rome with putting a human face on the work of the church. • Bishop Robert N. Lynch of St. Petersburg, Fla., a former general secretary of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, details how a young Father John Foley paved the road that led to the opening of U.S. bishops’ general meetings to media coverage and how, as an archbishop working at the Vatican, he never complained about the poor treatment he received from other members of the Roman Curia whose distrust of the media was legendary.
