Mission in Venezuela is featured in photo slideshow

The Catholic Spirit in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis today posted on YouTube a video slideshow of photos from Jesucristo Resucitado (Risen Christ), the archdiocese’s mission parish in Venezuela. Dave Hrbacek, the paper’s staff photographer, shot the photos during a recent trip to Venezuela and also wrote about the parish, its pastor and the history of the archdiocese’s outreach to the community there.

Pope Benedict’s speech at Regina Pacis center

VATICAN CITY — Pope Benedict XVI’s first stop after arriving in Amman, Jordan, was to the Regina Pacis center. The center was founded by the Latin Patriarchate Vicar in Jordan, Bishop Salim Sayegh, and it offers rehabilitation for people with disabilities.
