Bringing the good news is bad news for commuters

The buzz began on Sunday, when The Washington Post Metro section ran its map of D.C. street closings associated with the papal visit. Radio stations picked up the alarm, telling area commuters to stay away from the District Wednesday and Thursday.

Pope Benedict XVI might be coming to spread the good news, but in a region tied for the second-worst traffic in the nation, news of worse-than-usual traffic is bad news for commuters.
